Upgrade the pressure reading on your compatible Sage/Breville Barista Express & Impress with a precision-calibrated pressure gauge featuring a clear, numerical bar scale and a prominent 9-bar extraction reference.
Unlike the original non-numerical pressure indication, this gauge gives you a clear numerical reading of extraction pressure, allowing you to see exactly where your machine is operating.
PRECISION CALIBRATED
Each gauge is precision calibrated to provide a clear and accurate pressure indication across the 0–15 bar scale.
9 bar is clearly marked on the dial as the key espresso extraction reference point.
Newer generations of the Barista Express & impress models have been supplied with an OPV spring configured for approximately 9-bar extraction, meaning the gauge can be installed as a straightforward plug-and-play pressure gauge upgrade, subject to the exact machine version and fitting compatibility.
No OPV modification is required where the machine is already correctly configured for 9-bar extraction.
OLDER MACHINES MAY REQUIRE AN OPV SPRING UPGRADE
Earlier-generation Barista Express machines may have an OPV configured to a significantly higher pressure.
If your machine does not already achieve approximately 9 bar at the appropriate test condition, simply installing the gauge will show the existing pressure — it will not change it.
For these machines, we also offer a precision-calibrated 9-bar OPV spring, allowing the machine's pressure regulation to be brought to the intended 9-bar target.
Gauge + 9-bar OPV spring = complete 9-bar pressure upgrade.
CHECK BEFORE ORDERING
Machine age alone should not be used as the only indication of OPV configuration, as production changes occurred during the lifecycle of these machines.
We recommend checking your machine's pressure before purchasing the spring upgrade.
